About Municipality

            The Nandhivaram-Guduvancheri Municipality was upgraded from special Grade Town panchayat on 01.11.2021 as per G.O.(Ms) No.94, Municipal Administration & water Supply (Election) Department, dated 01.11.2021. It was constituted as Grade II Municipality as per G.O.(Ms) No.122  Municipal Administration & water Supply (Election) Department, dated 08.12.2021.

                        The Nandhivaram-Guduvancheri Municipality was one of the important Municipality in Chengalpattu District. The town has center to the surrounding villages and having Bus and Train facility from Guduvancheri to Chennai and southern Tamilnadu. Chennai Metropolitan Corporation Buses are operating from Guduvancheri to various parts of chennai. Due to this reason floating population to this town is high. Civil administration was looked after by a town level committee which was found in 1984. at present the area of the Municipality is 8.50 sq km. The town is divided into 30 election wards in the year of 2021.
