Revenue Branch – Roles and Responsibilities

The Revenue Branch is an important wing of the Municipality, headed by the Assistant Revenue Officer. The officer is responsible for managing and supervising all revenue-related activities within the municipal jurisdiction.

The Assistant Revenue Officer is supported by:

  • 2 Revenue Inspectors

  • 1 Special Revenue Inspector

  • 6 Revenue Assistants

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Revenue Branch include:

  • Collection of taxes and non-tax revenues

  • Assessment of properties for Property Tax

  • Ensuring proper maintenance of tax records

  • Monitoring revenue generation and recovery processes

The team plays a key role in enhancing the financial strength of the Municipality by ensuring efficient revenue administration.
