About Municipality
The Vaniyambadi Municipality was constituted vide G.O. MS. No. 421 Local & Municipality Dept. dated 21.08.1885 by British Government in April 1886. In 1996 this Municipality was upgraded to Grade II Municipality by G.O. MS. NO. 118 Rural Development Local Administration Dept. dated 01.05.1996. The Town limit was extended by adding some survey numbers of Amburpet village vide G.O.Ms.No.195 Rural Development Local Administration Dept. dated 09.02.1984. In 1998 this Municipality was upgraded to 1st Grade. And in 2008 this Municipality was upgraded as Selection Grade Municipality vide G.O.M.S.NO: 238, MAWS Dated:02/12/2008.
