About Municipality

Vandavasi was constituted as town Panchayat during 1886. The town panchayat was upgraded as selection town Panchayat During 1942, the same was upgraded as third Grade Municipality dated 20.05.1994. As per G.O.M.S No. 85, MAWS, Dt: 22.5.98 classified as second grade Municipality. As per 2001 census the population of the town is 29610.
