Udumalpet Municipal Weekly Market is one of the important commercial centre, which supports the daily needs of population residing in the surrounding rural areas & the town. The Municipality market is located in the Railway Station Road which is very nearer to the central bus-stand. There are different type of Commercial activities like Vegetables shops, Beef stalls, Petty shop of various purposes. It is one of the important Commercial Centers, which is a source of income to local body. There are also may shops function outside the market area. There is a proposal to renovate the existing market and modernize the available facilities.
