1) Roach Park, Nehru Park, Harbour Beech

In the evenings of every Saturday and Sunday these places are the primary  attraction for the children and the people of the city. Lighting and playing gardens are situated in this places.

2) Sivan Temple

This Temple is situated at the heart of the city. Near the city there is one Theppam pond. This temple attracts all kinds of this town people. The important festivals of Adi-Ammavasai, Sasti and Chithrai Therottam are celebrated with gaiety.

3) Our Lady of Snows Church

This Church is situated at the South Seashore of Mannar. The church is very popular through out this district. Every year at the month of August this church festival attracts all kinds of religious people. Once in a 15 years this chruch celebrate Golden chariot Thiruvila.

4) Harbour :

Thoothukudi Harbour is situated 20 Kms. away from the town. This harbour is popular for both handling goods in export and import. Near by it there isone fishing harbour. These two harbours are very familier to this town.Thoothukudi is famous for producing salt. And the produced salts are export to all over India.

Nearer to this town there are industries like SPIC, STERLIGHT, THERMAL POWER PRODUCTION STATIONS AND HEAVY WATER PLANTS are situated.
