The present system of drainage in the town consists of natural as well as man made drains. In fact, the man made drains are linked to the natural drains for disposal. the storm water drains carry mainly the waste water comprising the sullage and sewerage from the houses.

The information provided in the above table indicates that nearly 79% of road were provided with storm water drain.
The Health Department of the Municipality is responsible for the maintenance of storm water drain. In the absence of proper maintenance these drains are silted up.
