Corona Prevention Activities

COVID 19 Prevention and Management Activities

Sembakkam Municipality is providing the following Corona Preventive Activities on COVID 19

  • Creating adequate awareness among the citizens in Sembakkam via Banners, Phamphlets,Vehicle announcements to take preventive  measures against COVID 19.
  • Continuous monitoring of Corona control activities of all streets.
  • Conducting regular review meetings then and there by adopting social distancing.
  • Helpline Control Room facilities available 24×7.
  • Disinfection activities done through Hand sprayers, Vehicle Mounted Sprayers, Public places, Urban Health Centre  and other public buildings.
  • Maintaining Social Distance in Grocery shops and Other Areas.
  • Free food is distributed  in all Amma Ungavagam and also other needful areas.

DO’s

  1. Do wear a cloth covering on your face at all times when you are not at home.
  2. Do wash your hands before you wear your mask. Only touch the ear loops.
  3. Do practice good hand hygiene and wash your hands frequently.
  4. Do cover your cough or sneeze.The best way to cough or sneeze is into your elbow and not your hands.
  5. Do work from home. Do leave your home only for essential reasons, such as buying food or medication purposes.
  6. Do move away from others who cough or sneeze.
  7. Do wear a face mask and gloves if you are caring for a family someone who has tested positive for COVID 19.
  8. Do participate in “social distancing” to blunt the spread of the virus.
  9. Do self-quarantine yourself for 14 days if you come into contact with someone who tests positive for corona virus.

DON’Ts

  1. Don’t just tie a scarf around your face as that can be loose fitting and need more adjustment. Use a cloth covering that is more tight-fitting.
  2. Don’t touch your eyes, nose, mouth or face without washing your hands.
  3. Don’t interact with your pets if you think you may have symptoms concerning for COVID 19.
  4. Don’t treat “social distancing” like a “vacation”.
  5. Don’t share utensils or drinking glasses with others, including family members.
  6. Don’t shake hands or give hugs as greetings. Use an alternative greeting that maintains 6-8 feet of distance.
  7. Don’t visit your older relatives or community members, as they are the highest risk group.
  8. Don’t go to public places like gyms,  restaurants, saloon and beauty par lours
  9. Consume foods which could increase immunity level.
  10. Don’t be panic over COVID 19 as excess fear  and stress will decrease the immunity in our body.

CONSTITUTION

 The Government of Tamilnadu has decided its in principal that the Business of the Government is as picidly and opening with responsibility

at all levels and decided to provide to the public by all sources. Hence the Government has formulated CITIZENS CHARTER based on the

above principals the Sembakkam Municipal and has come forwarded to present this CITIZEN’S CHARTER the public.

PURPOSES OF THIS CHARTER

 to provide the services with Fast and Standard

to declare a time limit for providing the services

to upgrade the Administration by adopting opening for getting the confidences of the Consumer.

PROVIDING OF BETTER ADMINISTRATION

For the purpose of providing best civic services to the people of the town with upgraded standard and efficiency.

to discharge the civic bodies works with atmost care and honest

to provide the to civic services with special care to provide the civic services in a systematic and time Bound manner with efficiency.

Regarding providing of various Public services by this civic body in implementation, execution and maintenance of Administration of the

works relating to Public Health, Water supply, Roads, Storm water drain and Street Lights and other services to the public are within following specified time schedule.

 

 WATER SUPPLY:-

a) Issue  of application forms for HSC’s at the Office CFC counter whenever demanded on payment of Application cost Rs.100/-
b) Receipt of completed Application forms Immediately  at  the  information centre
c) Issue of     Acknowledgement  for the application -do-
d) Providing information to the public about the defects noticed if any on the application Within 7 days from the date of receipt of application
e) Issue of intimation for remittance of cheque and other dues receipts of the rectified application form Within 15 days from the receipt of corrected application.
f) Granting of House service connection 30 days (from the date of completed application form)

i) COMPLAINTS / DEFECTS IN WATER SUPPLY SERVICES:-

1) Defects/repairs in Water Supply H.S.C. 7 days from the date of Complaint
2) Repair/ Burnt in Water supply pumping/Distributions 2 days from the date of complaint
3) Damages/Repairs on public fountains 2 days from the date of complaint
4) Repaired defects of India Mark    II Pumps 7 days from the date of complaint
5) Pollution and Contamination of water Supply 10 days from the date of complaint
6) Change of Water supply meter 15 days from the date of complaint
7) Providing of water on the accurate of Fire accidents 24 hours at any time.

ii) SOCIAL SERVICES:-

1) Providing Water supply through Lorry In 24 hours on receipt of complaint of Water supply broke town

iii) ROADS AND PATHWAYS MAINTENANCE:

One the applications/petitions received at the information centre, action shall be taken as specified here under:-

a) Filling up of small holes and patches on roads/pathways
b) Attending patch works on Roads
c) Removal of objectionable encroachments and pathways
d) Replacement of underground drainage manhole covers
e) Removed of demolished building debris on road sides and public places by the owner/occupants of buildings
f) If the debris are not removed then removal
g) Granting of Road cutting of the same by the Municipality

iv) STREET LIGHTS:

1) Rectification/Repairs/replacement of Bulbs/Tubes lights at main street
2) Repairs/replacement of bulbs  of interior streets

V)    PUBLIC HEALTH LICENSES:

For commencing new Food and other business  Trades of other nature (Sec. 249(2) of the Tamilnadu District Municipal  Act 1920)

1) Issue of Application form at the information counter on request
2) Presenting the application form with remittance of required fees at the information centre along with application
3) Informing of defects found on the applications 10 days from the date of receipt of the application
4) Verification of rectified application form, remittance fees and issue of intimation 15 days from the date of receipt of verified application
5) Issue of Licenses 30 days

vi) RENEWAL OF  D&O, PFA APPLICATIONS:- (Sec. 249(5) of the TNDM Act 1920):

1 Issue of Application forms
2 Remittance of License fee and receipt of Applications
3 Issue of  renewed  License
4 BIRTH/ DEATH CERTIFICATES:-
1) Issue of Births/Deaths certificate within the date of 1 to 14 days of registration
2) Granting of Rod cutting, permission, on the Roads belonging to other Departments
2)  Issue of Birth and Deaths certificate registered with 1 to 12 months period
4) Issue of Birth/Death Certificate after 1 year

vii) ISSUE OF BIRTH/DEATH CERTIFICATES” EXTENDS ALREADY REGISTERED:

1 Receipt of  application at information centre on request
2 Remittance of required fee at information centre on request
3 Verify the application and issue of copy of extract 7 days from the date of application

 

5) PUBLIC HEALTH  AND SEWEGE WATER:

The Public Health Branch commences it routine sweeping/cleaning of all Roads / other important places viz., Bus stand ,Market etc., daily two times 6 am to 11 am in the evening 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm in the town.

Rectification of Reports

 

1) Rectification of  draining water stagnation of Drain water 3 days on receipt of petition/report
2) Rectification / repairs of  stagnation at domestic houses 3 days on receipt of report/petition

CLEARANCE OF SEPTIC TANKS:

1) Issue of Application / remittance of fees at the information centre
2) Clearing of septic tank 2 days on receipt of petition/ remittance of fees

6) ISSUE OF BUILDING LICENCES:

1) Issue of Building application and cost of application at the information centre by remitting Rs.50/- per application form
2) Issue of Acknowledgement for the application issued at the information centre on the presentation of completed Application form
3) Issue of information an application if any defects are noticed Within 7 days from the date of receipt of  applications.
4) Issue of Building License With in 30 days from the date of receipt of application.

7)  ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY TAX:

1) ASSESSMENTS

1) Issue of acknowledgement and receipt of Assessment application with required particulars for Assessments at the information centre on presentation of the application and required particulars for Assessment
2) Issue of application for inclusion in Assessment list -do-
3) Issue of Tax assessment orders for the building 20 days from the date of receipt of the application

2) Name Transfer Requests:

1) Receipt of application together with relevant documents relating to the transfer/and issue of acknowledgement at the information centre on presentation
2) Issue of name transfer orders 20 days from the date of receipt of application
3) Receipt of application and issue of annual rental value certificates for any building at the information centre  within 3 days from the date of application with remittance the  required fees.

 

Note:  All applications for effecting change of Name and application for issuing rental value certificates should be enclosed with Xerox copy of tax receipt of the Half year in which the application is made together with required fees.

G E N E R A L:-

If any applications received in connection with the civic administration will be acknowledged on receipt of application

If any delay in providing the above services are noticed due to any reason, the same will be informed and additional time requirement will be informed to the concerned persons.

All civic service matters will be rectified and replied within 30 days.

All petitions/Applications received at the  information centers accepted in common, and are subject to adherence of with relevant Acts, and Rules made there under by Government issued then and there.

The people of Sembakkam town are requested to send their esteemed suggestions if any for improving the quality of civic services to the Municipal Commissioner, Sembakkam Municipality or to the Chairman, Municipal Council, Sembakkam.

In Pattukkottai Municipality E-Governance is aimed to provide online citizen services and monitoring performance  of  Municipality and  services accessible  to  the  common man   from anywhere, through service delivery outlets and ensure efficiency,   transparency & reliability of such services to realise the basic needs of the common man.

Phase-I

Computerization   activities  were initiated in this department from the   year 1998. Local  bodies were provided with required infrastructure like  Computers and Printers  and Networking peripherals and IT Manpower was posted at each ULB.LAN / WAN connectivity was established at each ULB. Client – Server based application was developed using in-house team and implemented at all ULBs from the year 2001, database is being maintained in Oracle 9i. Municipal Services  like collection of various taxes and issue of various certificates were introduced Citizen centers were established across all the ULBs, to avail the services. Dedicated website for ULB created.

Phase-II

In phase -II, it is decided to bring all ulb in one single centralized web based application with single database, based on that A complete, an integrated, web based, secured, roll and workflow based application developed covering 29 functionalities of Urban local bodies and implemented in phased manner from 2015  with the following features.

CITIZEN’S CHARTER

CONSTITUTION

The Government of Tamilnadu has decided its in principal that the Business of the Government is as picidly and opening with responsibility at all levels and decided to provide to the public by all sources. Hence the Government has formulated CITIZENS CHARTER based on the above principals the Pattukkottai Municipal and has come forwarded to present this CITIZEN’S CHARTER the public.

PURPOSES OF THIS CHARTER

to provide the services with Fast and Standard

to declare a time limit for providing the services

to upgrade the Administration by adopting opening for getting the confidences of the Consumer.

PROVIDING OF BETTER ADMINISTRATION

For the purpose of providing best civic services to the people of the town with upgraded standard and efficiency.

to discharge the civic bodies works with atmost care and honest

to provide the to civic services with special care to provide the civic services in a systematic and time Bound manner with efficiency.

Regarding providing of various Public services by this civic body in implementation, execution and maintenance of Administration of the works relating to Public Health, Water supply, Roads, drainages and Street Lights and other services to the public are within following specified time schedule.

WATER SUPPLY:-

a) Issue  of application forms for HSC’s at the information center whenever demanded on payment of Application cost Rs.50/-
b) Receipt of completed Application forms Immediately  at  the  information centre
c) Issue of     Acknowledgement  for the application -do-
d) Providing information to the public about the defects noticed if any on the application Within 7 days from the date of receipt of application
e) Issue of intimation for remittance of cheque and other dues receipts of the rectified application form Within 15 days from the receipt of corrected application.
f) Granting of House service connection 30 days (from the date of completed application form)

 

i) COMPLAINTS / DEFECTS IN WATER SUPPLY SERVICES:-

1) Defects/repairs in Water Supply H.S.C. 7 days from the date of Complaint
2) Repair/ Burnt in Water supply pumping/Distributions 2 days from the date of complaint
3) Damages/Repairs on public fountains 2 days from the date of complaint
4) Repaired defects of India Mark    II Pumps 7 days from the date of complaint
5) Pollution and Contamination of water Supply 10 days from the date of complaint
6) Change of Water supply meter 15 days from the date of complaint
7) Providing of water on the accurate of Fire accidents 24 hours at any time.

ii) SOCIAL SERVICES:-

1) Providing Water supply through Lorry In 24 hours on receipt of complaint of Water supply broke town
2) Providing of water supply for Marriage and similar functions and ceremonies through Lorry 3 days advance to the date of coming function provided on payment charges of Rs.400/- per Lorry and Rs.200/- per mini Lorry

iii) ROADS AND PATHWAYS MAINTENANCE:-

One the applications/petitions received at the information centre , action shall be taken as specified hereunder:-
a) Filling up of small holes and patches on roads/pathways 10 days on receipt of petition/complaints
b) Attending patch works on Roads 30 days
c) Removal of objectionable encroachments and pathways 15 days on receipt of petition/ complaints
d) Replacement of underground drainage manhole covers 3 days
e) Removed of demolished building debris’s on road sides and public places by the owner/occupants of buildings 7 days
f) If the debris’s are not removed then removal 7 days
g) Granting of Road cutting of the same by the Municipality 7 days on receipt of Applications..

iv) STREET LIGHTS:-

1) Rectification/Repairs/replacement of Bulbs/Tubes lights at main street 2 days on receipt of complaint
2) Repairs/replacement of bulbs  of interior streets 3 days on receipt of  complaint

V)    PUBLIC HEALTH LICENSES:-

 For commencing new Food and other business  Trades of other nature (Sec. 249(2) of the Tamilnadu District Municipal  Act 1920)
1) Issue of Application form at the information counter on request
2) Presenting the application form with remittance of required fees at the information centre along with application
3) Informing of defects found on the applications 10 days from the date of receipt of the application
4) Verification of rectified application form, remittance fees and issue of intimation 15 days from the date of receipt of verified application
5) Issue of Licenses 30 days

 

vi) RENEWAL OF  D&O, PFA APPLICATIONS:- (Sec. 249(5) of the TNDM Act 1920):-

1 Issue of Application forms at the information centre on request
2 Remittance of License fee and receipt of Applications at the information centre remittance of fees
3 Issue of  renewed  License 30 days on receipt of applications
4 BIRTH/ DEATH CERTIFICATES:-
1) Issue of Births/Deaths certificate within the date of 1 to 14 days of registration 1 day without counter fee.
2) Granting of Rod cutting, permission, on the Roads belonging to other Departments 5 days from the date of receipt of permission from the other Department.
2)  Issue of Birth and Deaths certificate registered with 1 to 12 months period 7 days after remitting a late fee of Rs.5/-
4) Issue of Birth/Death Certificate after 1 year 10 days with the orders of Court order of Judicial Magistrate, along with the remittance of late fee of Rs.10/-

 

vii) ISSUE OF BIRTH/DEATH CERTIFICATES” EXTENDS ALREADY REGISTERED:-

1 Receipt of  application at information centre on request
2 Remittance of required fee at information centre on request
3 Verify the application and issue of copy of extract 7 days from the date of application

5) PUBLIC HEALTH DRAINAGE AND SEWEGE WATER:-

    The Public Health Branch commences it routine sweeping/cleaning of all Roads / other important places viz., Bus stand , Market etc., daily two times 6 am to 11 am in the evening 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm in the town.

Rectification of Reports

1) Rectification of  draining water stagnation of Drain water 3 days on receipt of petition/report
2) Rectification / repairs of  stagnation at domestic houses 3 days on receipt of report/petition

CLEARANCE OF SEPTIC TANKS:-

1) Issue of Application / remittance of fees at the information centre
2) Clearing of septic tank 2 days on receipt of petition/ remittance of fees

3) DRAINAGE CONNECTIONS:-

3) Issue of information an application if any defects are noticed Within 7 days from the date of receipt of  applications.
4) Issue of Building License With in 30 days from the date of receipt of application.

 

7)  ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY TAX:-

2) Name Transfer Requests:

1) Receipt of application together with relevant documents relating to the transfer/and issue of acknowledgement at the information centre on presentation
2 Issue of name transfer orders 20 days from the date of receipt of application
3 Receipt of application and issue of annual rental value certificates for any building at the information centre  within 3 days from the date of application with remittance the  required fees.

Note:  All applications for effecting change of Name and application for issuing rental value certificates should be enclosed with Xerox copy of tax receipt of the Half year in which the application is made together with required fees.

G E N E R A L:-

If any applications received in connection with the civic administration will be acknowledged on receipt of application

If any delay in providing the above services are noticed due to any reason, the same will be informed and additional time requirement will be informed to the concerned persons.

All civic service matters will be rectified and replied within 30 days.

All petitions/Applications received at the  information centers accepted in common, and are subject to adherence of with relevant Acts, and Rules made there under by Government issued then and there.

The people of Pattukkottai town are requested to send their esteemed suggestions if any for improving the quality of civic services to the Municipal Commissioner, Pattukkottai Municipality or to the Chairman, Municipal Council, Pattukkottai.

Solid Waste Management

Solid Waste Collection and Disposal

Unlike yester years the solid waste management plays a vital and pivotal roll as far as the local bodies are concerned. particularly in Urban areas. The population in the urban areas grow rapidly and the space has become scarce. Likewise the waste generated in these areas has become a threat to the clean environment . In order to control this waste and the menace of polluting environment, it has been decided to take immediate action under solid waste management, dispersing with the good old practice of sweeping, cleaning and carrying the waste from the streets and dumping in the composts yard. Therefore it has been decided to cover the solid waste management for this town and door to door collection with segregation of source has been started initially for two wards and subsequently spread to other wards also after giving wide publicity and conducting compaigns and rallies etc.

All he existing vehicles have been provided with two separate compartments and painted with red and green colours at the outer portion. In the red colour compartment, the recyclable items are dumped and bio-degradable in the green compartments. Similarly the newly purchased tricycles have also been provided with two separate compartments with red and green colours at the outer portion for easy differentiation

Moreover, the door-to-door collection is being done with the segregation at source in a few wards and in other wards the segregation is done by the sanitary workers themselves before taking it to the compost yard and this will be implemented in all the wards after giving due publicity. The recyclable items are handed over to the rag-pickers daily.

The garbage so collected is taken to the compost yard and airobic method is adopted and a small quantity of garbage is taken to the head works where pits have been provided for making vermi-compost and is being done successfully. The acquisition of land for compost yard is at the final stage and after having taken the possession of compost yard, vermi-compost will be implemented in a large scale.

Water Supply

WATER SUPPLY

The Pattukkottai Municipality was constituted on 1.4.1965. The protected water supply scheme was implemented in the year 1971 in order to fulfill the requirement of the then population with 3.64 lakhs of liters of reservoirs capacity. The Head works is situated at Santhankadu in an extent of 17.88 acres. The water sources are extracted through 5 bore wells within the compound of the Head works. The per capita supply through the above Scheme was 35 liters per day.

An improvement to the Scheme was implemented and completed on 15.12.1999 which was sanctioned in the G.O.No.285 Municipal Administration and water supply Department dated 3.8.1998 at an estimate cost of Rs.691.77 lakhs and executed through T.W.A.D. Board.

This scheme consist of 3 Nos. of Over Head Tanks and 3 pumping stations at different places of the town.Now the supply is 114 liters per capita.

This scheme was handed over to the Municipality on 19.1.2000 by TWAD Board without any staff. The minimum requirement of staff for the maintenance of the scheme is 30 Nos. and the annual financial commitment towards the salary for them may work out to Rs.18.00 lakhs. Since the Municipality does not have sufficient staff for the maintenance of the new scheme, it has been proposed to privavitise the maintenance system, in accordance with the Govt. orders issued in the GO No.69 MA & WS dated 4.5.1998 which has suggested for the privatisation of works in local bodies to the new scheme.
Accordingly the maintenance of the scheme has been entrusted to the private agencies after following the procedure laid down therefore at an annual rate of Rs.9.00 lakhs (with a savings of 50% of the maintenance cost) from 19.1.2000 and at Rs.5.67 lakhs from 19.1.2001 and the scheme is going on well without any hindrance under the overall supervision of the Engineering staff of this Municipality.

CONSTITUTION

 The Government of Tamilnadu has decided its in principal that the Business of the Government is as picidly and opening with responsibility

at all levels and decided to provide to the public by all sources. Hence the Government has formulated CITIZENS CHARTER based on the

above principals the Sembakkam Municipal and has come forwarded to present this CITIZEN’S CHARTER the public.

PURPOSES OF THIS CHARTER

 to provide the services with Fast and Standard

to declare a time limit for providing the services

to upgrade the Administration by adopting opening for getting the confidences of the Consumer.

PROVIDING OF BETTER ADMINISTRATION

For the purpose of providing best civic services to the people of the town with upgraded standard and efficiency.

to discharge the civic bodies works with atmost care and honest

to provide the to civic services with special care to provide the civic services in a systematic and time Bound manner with efficiency.

Regarding providing of various Public services by this civic body in implementation, execution and maintenance of Administration of the

works relating to Public Health, Water supply, Roads, Storm water drain and Street Lights and other services to the public are within following specified time schedule.

 

 WATER SUPPLY:-

a) Issue  of application forms for HSC’s at the Office CFC counter whenever demanded on payment of Application cost Rs.100/-
b) Receipt of completed Application forms Immediately  at  the  information centre
c) Issue of     Acknowledgement  for the application -do-
d) Providing information to the public about the defects noticed if any on the application Within 7 days from the date of receipt of application
e) Issue of intimation for remittance of cheque and other dues receipts of the rectified application form Within 15 days from the receipt of corrected application.
f) Granting of House service connection 30 days (from the date of completed application form)

i) COMPLAINTS / DEFECTS IN WATER SUPPLY SERVICES:-

1) Defects/repairs in Water Supply H.S.C. 7 days from the date of Complaint
2) Repair/ Burnt in Water supply pumping/Distributions 2 days from the date of complaint
3) Damages/Repairs on public fountains 2 days from the date of complaint
4) Repaired defects of India Mark    II Pumps 7 days from the date of complaint
5) Pollution and Contamination of water Supply 10 days from the date of complaint
6) Change of Water supply meter 15 days from the date of complaint
7) Providing of water on the accurate of Fire accidents 24 hours at any time.

ii) SOCIAL SERVICES:-

1) Providing Water supply through Lorry In 24 hours on receipt of complaint of Water supply broke town

 

iii) ROADS AND PATHWAYS MAINTENANCE:

One the applications/petitions received at the information centre, action shall be taken as specified here under:-

a) Filling up of small holes and patches on roads/pathways
b) Attending patch works on Roads
c) Removal of objectionable encroachments and pathways
d) Replacement of underground drainage manhole covers
e) Removed of demolished building debris on road sides and public places by the owner/occupants of buildings
f) If the debris are not removed then removal
g) Granting of Road cutting of the same by the Municipality

iv) STREET LIGHTS:

1) Rectification/Repairs/replacement of Bulbs/Tubes lights at main street
2) Repairs/replacement of bulbs  of interior streets

V)    PUBLIC HEALTH LICENSES:

For commencing new Food and other business  Trades of other nature (Sec. 249(2) of the Tamilnadu District Municipal  Act 1920)

1) Issue of Application form at the information centre by remitting Rs.50/- per application form
2) Presenting the application form with remittance of required fees at the information centre along with application
3) Informing of defects found on the applications 10 days from the date of receipt of the application
4) Verification of rectified application form, remittance fees and issue of intimation 15 days from the date of receipt of verified application
5) Issue of Licenses 30 days

vi) RENEWAL OF  D&O, PFA APPLICATIONS:- (Sec. 249(5) of the TNDM Act 1920):

1 Issue of Application forms
2 Remittance of License fee and receipt of Applications
3 Issue of  renewed  License
4 BIRTH/ DEATH CERTIFICATES:-
1) Issue of Births/Deaths certificate within the date of 1 to 14 days of registration
2) Granting of Rod cutting, permission, on the Roads belonging to other Departments
2)  Issue of Birth and Deaths certificate registered with 1 to 12 months period
4) Issue of Birth/Death Certificate after 1 year

vii) ISSUE OF BIRTH/DEATH CERTIFICATES” EXTENDS ALREADY REGISTERED:

1 Receipt of  application at the information centre by remitting Rs.10/- per application form
2 Remittance of required fee at information centre on request
3 Verify the application and issue of copy of extract 7 days from the date of application

 

5) PUBLIC HEALTH  AND SEWEGE WATER:

The Public Health Branch commences it routine sweeping/cleaning of all Roads / other important places viz., Bus stand ,Market etc., daily two times 6 am to 11 am in the evening 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm in the town.

Rectification of Reports

 

1) Rectification of  draining water stagnation of Drain water 3 days on receipt of petition/report
2) Rectification / repairs of  stagnation at domestic houses 3 days on receipt of report/petition

 

6) ISSUE OF BUILDING LICENCES:

1) Issue of Building application and cost of application at the information centre by remitting Rs.50/- per application form
2) Issue of Acknowledgement for the application issued at the information centre on the presentation of completed Application form
3) Issue of information an application if any defects are noticed Within 7 days from the date of receipt of  applications.
4) Issue of Building License With in 30 days from the date of receipt of application.

7)  ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY TAX:

1) ASSESSMENTS

1) Issue of acknowledgement and receipt of Assessment application with required particulars for Assessments at the information centre by remitting Rs.50/- per application form
2) Issue of application for inclusion in Assessment list -do-
3) Issue of Tax assessment orders for the building 20 days from the date of receipt of the application

2) Name Transfer Requests:

1) Receipt of application together with relevant documents relating to the transfer/and issue of acknowledgement at the information centre by remitting Rs.50/- per application form
2) Issue of name transfer orders 20 days from the date of receipt of application
3) Receipt of application and issue of annual rental value certificates for any building at the information centre  within 3 days from the date of application with remittance the  required fees.

 

Note:  All applications for effecting change of Name and application for issuing rental value certificates should be enclosed with Xerox copy of tax receipt of the Half year in which the application is made together with required fees.

G E N E R A L:-

If any applications received in connection with the civic administration will be acknowledged on receipt of application

If any delay in providing the above services are noticed due to any reason, the same will be informed and additional time requirement will be informed to the concerned persons.

All civic service matters will be rectified and replied within 30 days.

All petitions/Applications received at the  information centers accepted in common, and are subject to adherence of with relevant Acts, and Rules made there under by Government issued then and there.

The people of Sembakkam town are requested to send their esteemed suggestions if any for improving the quality of civic services to the Municipal Commissioner, Sembakkam Municipality or to the Chairman, Municipal Council, Sembakkam.

Public Health

The Municipal Health Officer is the overall in-charge of the Health Section. he looks after the prevention of Food adulteration, conservatory work, sweeping streets, maintenance of drainage , controlling of epidemic diseases, ensuring of license to D&O trades, Birth and Death registration, issuing certificates to birth and death registration. The Sanitary Inspectors, Sanitary Supervisors and Sanitary Workers are assisting the Municipal Health Officer. The Municipal Health Officer is held responsible for the removal of garbages and also sent to I.V.R. Plants.

1. OM SRI KANDASRAMAM TEMPLE
The famous and  the biggest temple of Om Sri Kandasramam is located in Rajakilpakkam Village.  In Om Sri Kandasramam every sunday evening at raghukalam time i.e. 4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. raghu kala pooja is conducted with slokas, mantras and abhishekam to Lord Sarbeswarar and Goddess Prathankara Devi.

Raghu kala pooja has become very popular now a days and  number of devotees in and around Chennai were attended. Another important festival in this Kandasramam is Panguni Uthiram. Special Poojas were conducted to Tamil Lord Murugan.

2. AGANDA PARIPURANA SACHITHANANDHA THIRU SABAI

Aganda Paripurana Sachithanandha Thiru Sabai of Sri Sachithanandha Swamigal located within the premises of the Thiru Sabai in Rajakilpakkam is a standing monument dedicated to Sri Sarguru Sachithanandha, a symbol of Universal Religion.

At the centre of the shrine is a 5 feet tall Photo Image of Sri Sarguru Sachithanandha seated on a marble surface. The shrine is not for any particular set and is meant for all people seeking ‘knowledge of the self.

Sembakkam Municipality

Sembakkam Second Grade Municipality was reconstituted as per Government Orders No.68 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department Dated: 16.5.2013 and it consists of three major Revenue Villages namely: Rajakilpakkam, Sembakkam and Gowrivakkam. This Municiplaity comes under South Chennai Parliamentary Constituency, Tambaram Assembly Constituency,  Tambaram Taluk and Kancheepuram District.
