i) The long stretch of mountain on the Western side of the town basis wise of rainwater into the town. This storm water comes with silt and silts the entire drainage of the town. Therefore in order to avoid present flooding of the town during rainy season, it is rainwater construction exclusive storm water during along the foot of Annamalai Hills and link to drainage outlets

ii) The end of this proposed channel has to be linked to Samudhram Eri which on the southern side, it is to be linked to Agni Theertham. Former Agni Theertham to Thamarai Kulam and from there to cur the excess storm water drain.

iii) An intensive and extensive education campaign is to be launched to educate the public and make then fully of their activities in keeping the hygienic and livable and also to samudharam Eri Co-operation with the Municipality in the up keep and protection of opportunities provided in the storm water facilities.
