Water Supply

Perambalur Municipality have two supply sources one from Perambalur Kollidam combined water supply scheme and other from 29 open well sources. Under Perambalur Kollidam combined water supply scheme the following components were constituted.  72 KM length of Pumping main from the Thalakudi Kollidam River source to the sump at Thachankurichi and Perakambi to Perambalur.  Supply main to 6 over head tanks at Alambadi, Aranarai, Vadakku Mathavi Road  and Thuraimangalam. The daily supply effected from this source is 3.20 MLD through the 6 over head tanks.

OHT of 7.00 Lakhs litres capacity – 1 No.

OHT of 5.00 Lakhs litres capacity – 1 No.

OHT of 3.00 Lakhs litres capacity – 1 No.

OHT of 1.50 Lakhs litres capacity – 2 Nos.

ULB OPENWELL SOURCES – 29 Nos

Odasakulam, Uppodai(East), Uppodai(West), Alambadi(South), Alambadi(North), Indira Nagar Puliyankulam(South) , Puliyankulam(North), Sengunam, Aranarai , Thuraimangalam.  At present altogether 2.00 MLD of water is being effected for 1.30 hours on daily for a population 49678 at a rate of 95 LPCD from the above combined water supply scheme and local openwells.
