Sewerage Existing Situation
There is under ground drainage system in Nagapattinam Municipality. Disposal of Night Soil is normally by way of individual facilities and liquid waste (Sullage and Kitchen Waste) is through the Under Ground Drainage System .
The main mode of individual disposal in the town is through UGSS, A phenomenal 20% of the population do not have access to safe disposal systems, Eighty percent of the population has resorted by UGSS scheme.
