About City

Nagapattinam town lies 14 km north of Karikal Town , 25 km west of Tiruvarur Town, 14km south of Velankanni and 6km east of Bay of Bengal.
It lies between 10.10^o and 11.20^o North latitude and 79.15^o and 79. 50^o East longitude.

It is bounded by Bay of Bengal on the east the Uppanar on the South,   Tiruvarur and Thanjavur District on the West and Northwest and Karaikal – Pondicherry on the North.

Nagapattinam town with an area of 14.92Square kilometres, still continutes to contribute its share in the production of Rice in Tamilnadu. We have raised so many important agricultural crop in our District. Rice, Groundnut, Pulses, Gingelly, Sugarcane and Cotton.
