This Municipality has been divided as 24 wards for the constitution of Municipal Council.
This Municipality is located in Tiruchirappalli District and lies in between Trichy – Salem Bypass road.
This municipality is situated with in 25-Perambalur Lok sabaj Constituency and with in the 145-Musiri Legislative Assembly Constituency.
The total extent of this Municipality is 18.80 Square Kilometers comprising of 2 Revenue Villages, 43-Musiri East 42-Musiri West
