1. Mettur Dam
The Stanley Reservoir (also known as Mettur dam) is one of largest fishing reservoirs in South India. Its main source of water is the River Kaveri (Cauvery). Three minor tributaries Palar, Chennar and Thoppar enter the Kaveri on her course above Stanley Reservoir.
2.Mettur Park
A Beautiful park opposite to Dam was formed with Lawns, fountains. This park attracts large number of tourists from nearby districts.
3. Mettur Dam 16 Bridge
This bridge is a landmark structure built by the British in 1934
4. Mettur Muniappan Temple
Muniappan ( Forefather) is an ancient and very popular village deity of Mettur. He is also known as “Aiyanar” (Revered Father).
5. Mettur Pannavadi Nanthi
Pannavadi near Mettur offers Coracle (Parisal) ride at certain water levels at the Dam
6. Mettur Pannavadi Old Church
The Old Church is one of the submerged ancient structures under the dam waters of river Kaveri and is visible only when the dam water storage levels are low.
