About Municipality
As per Government Order No. 67, Department of Municipal Administration and Water Supply dated 11.09.2021, Madukkarai Town Panchayat upgraded to Municipality. Madukkarai is a Second Grade Municipality and a Taluk Head Quarter. The area of the Municipality is 21.47 Sq. Kms. and the Municipality s formed with 27 Wards. As per 2011 Census Population is 30357 and the Total Road length is 119.36 kms.
