ABOUT MUNICIPALITY

Madhuranthagam Municipality Comprised of Madhuranthagam, Kadaperi, and Mambakkam villages and constituted as Second Grade Municipality in 1991. The town is divided in 24 wards. The extent of Municipal Area is 21.67 sq.km. (5354 Acre) Madhuranthagam is the Head Quarters town of Madhuranthagam Taluk in Chengalpattu District. Madhuranthagam Town is located in the South direction at a distance of 81 km in Chennai. It is situated at 12’41’30” latitude and 74’58’00” longitude and 28m elevated from M.S.L.
