Kuzhithurai Municipal Market is one of the important commercial centre, which support the daily needs of population residing in the surrounding rural areas and the town. The Municipal market is located in the central area near the Bus Stand accommodates 210 shops (both Vegetable and Non-Vegetable shops). The existing market needs reorganization with adequate parking facilities to improve the environmental condition and provide organized facilities in the town.
The Urban Local Body maintains one daily market, which caters to the need of Kuzhithurai town and surrounding rural areas. The Municipal market consists of different type of commercial activities like Vegetable Shops, Mutton Shops, Beef Stalls, Fish Markets, Petty Shops and Provision Shops. Kuzhithurai Municipal Market is one of the important commercial centres and generates revenue, which is a source of income to local body. At present, municipal market is located in the central area near the Bus Stand Area consists of 210 Shops (Vegetable and non-vegetable shops). Other than this, there are 62 Shops are also functioning outside the market area. Different type of commercial activities is concentrated along the karungal road paralel to N.H. road , near Central Bus Stand Area.
