The Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Selvi J.Jayalalithaa inaugurated “AMMA Unavakangal (Budget Canteens)” in nine Corporations and Municipalities, such a one in Aranthangi Municipality, Near Busstand through video conferencing with the intention of providing good quality, hygienic food to the poor, working and middle class people of the State. 7 to 10 AM, Sambar rice is sold at the rate of Rs.5 and curd rice at the rate of Rs.3 during lunch time between 12 noon and 3 pm in the “AMMA Unavakangal”. As this scheme is very beneficial for the poor, working class and ordinary people, the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Selvi J.Jayalalithaa has announced in the Tamil Nadu State assembly that the scheme would be extended to other parts of Tamil Nadu.Going by that announcement, the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Selvi J.Jayalalithaa has today inaugurated “AMMA Unavakangal” in the State Secretariat through Video Conferencing.
