About Municipality
Aranthangi Municipality was constituted as a third grade Municipality in 1977 and upgraded as second grade Municipality on 22.05.1998 as per GO No. 85 dated 22.05.1998 and upgraded as first grade Municipality on 02.12.2008 as per G.O.(Ms) No.238. The population of the town is 40814 as per the census 2011. The area of the town is 7.1 Sq.km. This municipality comprises of 27 wards.
