Manager is the head of Administration next to Commissioner in the branch of General Administration, and he is responsible for general supervision and Administration of Office. All Establishment matters are dealt with in the General Administration.

Manager:
Manager is Head of General Section. His duty includes general supervision of the ministerial staff, maintenance of discipline in the office premises to sign fair copies as “for Commissioner” and to sign receipts for all remittances made in the Municipal Treasury to acknowledge registered tapals, Money orders etc on behalf of the Commissioner and account for properly as the custodian of the cash collected daily-checking of Chitta and Cash and Petty cash, payments, Advances, etc. Administration Report, Annual Inspection of the office, checking of PR’s of all staff and subsidiary registers in respect of all sections. All papers should be submitted to the Executive Authority through the Manager except Engineering section.
B1 – Assistant & Accountant
The Account section is included in general section. The Accountant is the head of the wing and controlling Financial matters. It involves into preparation of Budget discipline. The Accountant also look after the Accrual based accounting system. Passing of all bills, maintenance of Loan register and repayment of loan in due date, maintenance of grant MDR and maintenance of 24 schedules. In addition to the above work while absent of Manager the accountant will in-charge of the manager to discharge his duty.
C1 – Assistant (General Establishment )
All Matters relating to establishment including Public Health Maintenance of Increment & Punishment registers etc., Maintenance of service Registers, Register of Probationers temporary or permanent Post sanction Register etc. Audit Register, Issue of Office order-common office order book, Maintenance of stock file, Personal Registers and Inspection reports etc. C2 Assistant, Noon-Meal for pre-School Centers & other allied registers. Noon-meal for school children & other allied subjects, Noon-meal Grants-Indent and watching of supplies-checking of monthly accounts-maintenance of cash book and accounts Periodicals-social welfare schemes-periodical Register office order book-stock file maintenance of personal Audit objection register of Noon meal.
A1- Junior Assistant (Property Tax)
Maintenance of Property tax demand register. Maintenance of register of Property tax register. Fixing of target to the Revenue Inspector and Revenue Assistant. General lease items, shops bunk and etc.
F1 – Junior Assistant (Town Planning Section)
Maintenance of Building application register I & II. To maintain personal register, Periodical register, Office order book, stock file audit objections, issue of survey sketch, sub division etc. Election photo identification card verification work etc. General Election.
E1 – Junior Assistant (Engineering Section)
Maintenance of all register relating to Civil work. Maintenance of all scheme works arcut file. Maintenance of P.K. stock file. Office order stocks file. Maintenance of SJSRY component. Maintenance of Asset register.
A2 – Junior Assistant (Professional Tax)
Maintenance of Professional Tax demand register and Arrear demand register. Maintain of Master register of professional tax maintenance of P.R. stock file. Office order stock file etc. fixing of Profession Tax target to the Revenue Inspector and Revenue Assistant.
A3 – Junior Assistant
Special Provident Fund Scheme, Traveling Allowance Bills payment preparation, Pension- Maintenance of Personal Register Periodical Register, Office order and stock file relating to the seat. Purchase of stationary book and forms.
E2 – Junior Assistant (Water supply)
Maintenance of Water supply demand register and Arrear demand register. Stock file office order stock file, Disconnection Register, House Service Connection register etc. Transportation of drinking water through lorry to unserved area. Remittance of cess to Pollution control board.
B2 – Junior Assistant (Account Assistant)
Register of Advances, Register of Deposits Family Benefit Fund Scheme all advance, Group Insurance Scheme, Special Provident Fund Scheme- Maintenance of Personal Register Periodical Register, Office order and stock file relating to the seat. Local body election.
B3 – Junior Assistant (Cashier)
Daily receipt of remittances by the bill collectors and public-Remittance -Encashment of Cheques-Petty Cash Book (General and Elementary Education) Securities and valuables including maintenance of stationary and money value forms-forms of stationary-Register of Money order Received Register of Cheques received maintenance of Pass Book & Cash Balance in report of General Fund, Water Supply IUDP, LCS etc., Maintenance of periodical Register office order book and stock file, Maintenance of personal Register. Telephone and remittance of Telephone Bills. Also stationary book and forms distribution.
H1 – Junior Assistant (Public Health)
Maintenance of P.R. stock file and office order stock file, D & O ,PFA collection register. Issue of D & O, PFA license. Preparing of Pension proposals relating to sanitary workers etc. Maintenance of Solid Waste Management. Public health vehicles, purchase of straw and cattle feed, Phenol, Bleaching powder, Repairs of public health vehicles etc as per rules in force. Preparation of Public health staff pay bills including sanitary worker bills. Maintenance of Service Register relating to Sanitary Inspector, Sanitary Supervisor, Maternity Assistant etc and establishment sanitary workers.
D1- Typist
Typing of Tamil & English letters and reports in computer and take printout. Maintenance of E-mail register. Maintenance of fair copy Register-Maintenance of Office order Book.
D2- Record Clerk
Distribution of tapals-Dispatching of tapals by post & Local Delivery- Circulation of Gazette among the officers-Maintenance of tapal distribution Register-Local Delivery book stamp amount for ordinary and registered tapals- special tapal register -Tapal Register of Commissioner of Municipal Administration-issue of demand for copy application Turn duty register-Movement Register of Index register-for R-Dis & D.Dis-Register of all books Maintiance of Record Room and despatch of agenda to the councilors and chairman.
